Independent mining advisors

Who we are

Ukwazi is a Zulu word which means “to know”, and this aptly describes the nature of our business. As a specialist mining consultancy, what we know makes us the ideal technical partner for mining studies, independent advice, judgement, and decision-making recommendations. We are a large-capacity consultancy which specialises in mining engineering, mine planning and project management. We were established in 2004 and are based in Gauteng, South Africa. We see the African continent as a great opportunity for expansion.

Our international business focuses on projects outside the borders of South Africa. We believe that independent specialist consultancies such as ours can deliver the most appropriate studies efficiently due to our independence, narrow specialist focus and our African base. We are an established supplier of choice for technical advisory and mining study services to investors, mine owners and operations, from the mine face to public and compliance reporting. As professionals, we take pride in our proven track record.
